Technical and Historical Notes

By the UC 0090s, the mass production RGM-89 Jegan is in wide use throughout the Earth Federation Forces. To meet the needs of different missions, the EFF decides to create Jegan variants instead of entirely new mobile suit models. One such variant is the RGM-89S Stark Jegan. The Stark Jegan's design is similar to the prototype model, which alternatively mounts four anti-ship missiles on its shoulder launchers. The Stark Jegan features improved performance thanks to its added armor and thrusters. The final version of the Stark Jegan is equipped with missile launchers on its shoulders, similar to the design of RGM-86R GM III. Other armaments include standard Jegan weapons such as a vulcan pod system, beam sabers, beam rifle, grenade launcher and hyper bazooka. Stark Jegans are used by Londo Bell throughout the Laplace Incident of UC 0096.
