Technical and Historical Notes

The Earth Alliance's Agamemnon class battleship is primarily designed to serve as a fleet's flagship. It is armed with high-energy cannons, and its two linear catapults allow it to launch TS-MA2 Moebius mobile armors more quickly than either the Drake class or the Nelson class. The Agamemnon class ship Menelaos serves as the flagship of the 8th Fleet and is commanded by Rear Admiral Lewis Halberton. The Menelaos is destroyed in battle on 13 February C.E. 71 while trying to protect the Archangel during atmospheric re-entry. After the war, the Alliance upgrades the Agamemnon class to include an internal mobile suit launch deck in its forward section.
