Developed to battle the Crossbone Gundams, the EMS-VSX2 Abijo was built as a fast attack and stealth mobile suit. Made much smaller than most mobile suits, the Abijo focused on speed and maneuverability to the extreme. However, because of its small size, it also mounted a smaller generator and subsequently was incapable of equipping beam weapons, though this had the beneficial side effect of reducing thermal emissions. The Abijo's only weapon was a double-barreled needle gun, which it used in conjunction with its high speed to perform rapid strikes against the enemy. Assigned to the Death Gale Team, the Abijo used its speed to harass the enemy and keep it busy while the heavy-hitting EMS-VSX1 Quavarze and EMS-VSX3 Totuga dealt out the real damage. Piloted by Jupiter Empire ace Rosemarie, the Abijo fought in many battles, including going to Earth to track down Tobia Arronax. However, Tobia managed to thwart the Abijo's speed by grabbing it, then fired the XM-X3 (F97) Crossbone Gundam X-3's vulcans, mega machine cannons and mega machineguns, shredding the thinly-armored mobile suit.
