Technical and Historical Notes

The AMS-119 Geara Doga is the main mobile suit used by Char Aznable's Neo Zeon forces during the Second Neo Zeon War. One Geara Doga variation is the Heavy Armed Type, which replaces the standard backpack with a heavy armament backpack that features two propellant tanks. The tanks allow for longer operating time, and the backpack powers the long-range, shell-firing Lange Bruno gun. The Heavy Armed Type's concept is carried forward to the AMS-129 Geara Zulu, the primary mobile suit used by the Neo Zeon during the Laplace Incident of UC 0096. However, that version of the Lange Bruno has been upgraded to a beam weapon. The original Geara Doga (Heavy Armed Type) is still fielded in combat alongside the newer Geara Zulu.
