The Space Launch was a small transport shuttle used by the Earth Federation Forces. In normal usage, the Space Launch ferried passengers, but in an emergency it also doubled as a lifeboat. On December 31, UC 0079, the assault carrier White Base crashed on the surface of the Zeon space fortress A Baoa Qu in the final battle of the One Year War. With some Newtype guidance from Amuro Ray, the crew was able to successfully evacuate in Space Launches before the ship exploded. Similar designs were used later by the EFF and AEUG in UC 0087-0088.
