The RX-94 Mass Production v Gundam was a high end mass production version of the RX-93 v Gundam developed by Anaheim Electronics for the Earth Federation Forces. The RX-94 was created in response to the threat posed by Neo Zeon Newtype use units like the MSN-03 Jagd Doga. In this area, Neo Zeon held the advantage because it continued Cyber Newtype research that the EFF abandoned after the dissolution of the Titans in UC 0088. Compared to the original version, the RX-94 implemented some changes to make mass production affordable, including cheaper armor and frame materials, as well as mass production propulsion parts. In addition, due to the lack of Newtype pilots in the EFF, the RX-94 implemented wire-controlled quasi-psycommu incoms, although its redesigned backpack could also mount fin funnels. The RX-94’s other armaments included a beam rifle and three beam sabers, two of which could also function as beam cannons. The RX-94 also replaced the beam saber stored in the v Gundam’s left forearm with a pair of beam spray guns in both forearms. One RX-94 unit was produced, and by UC 0096, the EFF decided to instead adopt the RGM-96X Jesta as a high end mobile suit.
