The RGM-89ST2 ST Gun was a custom reconnaissance suit tasked with collecting data on SNRI’s new prototype, the F90 Gundam F90. SNRI had modified a standard Anaheim Electronics RGM-89J Jegan Type J by fitting its head with an enlarged forehead sensor; a radome and various cameras and sensors were also mounted on the shoulders. As the ST-Gun was not intended for combat, its armaments were limited to a 100mm machine gun and two 3-tube grenade launcher. In UC 0120, the Zeon remnants known as the Oldsmobile Army stole F90 Gundam F90 Unit 2 during testing. The ST-Gun and pilot Navi were part of the team that traveled to Mars on the Admiral Tianem to chase the Zeon. During a battle on the surface of Mars, the ST-Gun was immobilized and captured by the Zeon for its treasure trove of data. Navi was later able to escape the Zeon base, but was forced to leave her suit behind, which was presumably destroyed along with the base.
