The MW-01 Mobile Worker Model 01 Final Type was the final iteration of Zeon’s MW-01 series of prototype mobile workers. The Final Type featured new chest armor to protect the cockpit and other improvements throughout the entire body. A space use variant was equipped with thrusters across its body and was used for data collection and debris removal. Despite its improved nature, the Final Type featured the same exposed large fusion reactor on the backpack, which led Gihren Zabi to scuttle the entire development project. However, Dr. Torenov Y. Minovsky made a breakthrough in developing a compact fusion reactor, thus allowing the project to continue. The new Minovsky reactor was installed in the first mobile suit, the YMS-03 Waff.
