The MS-06F Zaku II served as the main mass production mobile suit for the Principality of Zeon during the One Year War in UC 0079. Throughout the course of the war, Zeon produced many variants of the Zaku II to fit different environments or mission profiles. One such variant was the version used by the Living Dead Battalion at the Thunderbolt Sector in the ruins of Side 4. These units featured sealed joints to protect them from the high amount of space debris in the area. Shock absorbers were also added to the knees. The units mounted a high mobility backpack with with added thrusters, a propellant tank and two sub-arms for holding weapons. The soles of the feet included claws for gripping onto debris. These Zaku II units carried the same standard armaments as other versions and were used to man Big Gun sniping turrets.
