Technical and Historical Notes

 

The RVF-171 Nightmare Plus was a reconnaissance variant of the standard VF-171 Nightmare Plus. This early warning patrol craft was equipped with a radome and a ventral antenna. In February 2059, an RVF-171 from the Macross Frontier emigration fleet spotted the first signs of invasion by the super dimensional lifeforms known as the Vajra.
