Technical and Historical Notes

The MSM-02 Hydro Test Type was a prototype that Zimmad Company developed based on the MS-06M (MSM-01) Zaku Marine Type. The Hydro Test Type was armed with several missile launchers and vulcan guns. The Hydro Test Type's equipment was improved, and though the underwater mobility increased 10 to 20 percent, it failed to meet the demand for an underwater combat suit. Since it aimed to be an amphibious suits, its performance on land was also poor.
