Technical and Historical Notes

The Me02R-F02 Messer Type F-02 was a general purpose mobile suit developed by Anaheim Electronics in UC 0105 for the anti-Federation military group Mafty. Compared to the Type F-01, the Type F-02 added extra armor to the legs to assist with above ground hovering. The Messer's armaments included vulcan guns, beam sabers (the same type as the RGM-89 Jegan), a long beam rifle and a large shield that could store additional beam sabers and E-packs for the rifle. Additionally, the Type F-02 could also be equipped with multiple mines that were stored on the rear skirt armor. In April UC 0105, several Messer units attacked the Philippine city Davao where several Federation cabinet ministers were staying ahead of a government conference in Adelaide.
