For the Barrel

For the Barrel is a novel originally released in Japan from 2000-2002. It is a reinterpretation of the original 1979 TV series Mobile Suit Gundam. Written by Otsuka Gichi, it was serialized in Newtype magazine. The novel represents an alternative vision of the One Year War, with Ling A-bao (aka Amuro Ray) piloting the machining skin Gunboy against the Zeon forces. The novel has not been officially released in English.
