Technical and Historical Notes

The KUMA-03 Beargguy III was a custom Gunpla built by China Kousaka. It was based on the the GPB-04B Beargguy from the 2010 net anime series Model Suit Gunpla Builders Beginning G, which in turn was based on the MSM-04 Acguy from 1979’s Mobile Suit Gundam. Like its predecessor, the Beargguy III used an Acguy body that was modified to have a cute bear appearance. China conceived of the Beargguy III as a stuffed toy come to life and as such filled the kit with cotton stuffing. The kit’s face also incorporated a monitor that allowed it to change its facial expressions. The Beargguy III’s armaments included a mouth beam cannon and extendable arms. When the large Arista crystal caused damage to the PPSE stadium, China joined her friends in attempting to contain the damage. Later, China used the repaired Beargguy III when the Gunpla Mafia set a trap for her friends in the new Yajima Stadium.
