The AMX-018[HADES] Todesritter was a custom mobile suit used by Neo Zeon in UC 0090. It was a rebuilt and upgraded version of the RX-80[PR] Pale Rider, a prototype mobile suit developed by the Earth Federation Forces during the One Year War in UC 0079. Its name was the German phrase for Death Knight, a reference to the Biblical origins of the Pale Rider’s name. The Todesritter was upgraded to incorporate newer technologies like the movable frame and sub-arms hidden in the shoulders. The Todesritter retained the original Pale Rider’s performance-boosting HADES (Hyper Animosity Detect Estimate System). Its armaments included vulcan guns, machine cannons, beam sabers, a pair of hyper beam sabers/guns, six remote incoms, a hyper knuckle buster and a shield that equipped five mega particle cannons. The Todesritter was assigned to Chloe Croce, a Cyber Newtype who previously piloted the Pale Rider and later joined Char Aznable’s Neo Zeon movement. The Todesritter was destroyed in combat against an NZ-000 Queen Mansa fielded by a Neo Zeon faction that was still loyal to Glemy Toto, who died in UC 0089 after leading a rebellion against then-Neo Zeon leader Haman Karn.
