The AMS-119 Geara Doga was the main mobile suit used by Char Aznable’s Neo Zeon forces during the Second Neo Zeon War. One Geara Doga variation was the Heavy Armed Type, which replaced the standard backpack with a heavy armament backpack that featured two propellant tanks. The tanks allowed for longer operating time, and the backpack powered the long-range, shell-firing Lange Bruno gun. The Heavy Armed Type’s concept was carried forward to the AMS-129 Geara Zulu, the primary mobile suit used by the Neo Zeon during the Laplace Incident of UC 0096. However, that version of the Lange Bruno was upgraded to a beam weapon. The original Geara Doga (Heavy Armed Type) was still fielded in combat alongside the newer Geara Zulu.
