Designed exclusively for atmospheric combat, the ZM-A05G Recarl mobile armor is very powerful, equipped with two generators from ZM-S08G Zolo mobile suits powering a large mega particle cannon. Although its main cannon makes the Recarl highly effective as a long-range artillery strike unit, it also mounts a pair of short-range beam cannons for combat in closer quarters. With its high speed and agility in the air, the Recarl is more than capable of holding its own against mobile suits. Although it is unknown how many Recarls the Zanscare Empire builds, at least one unit is known to be in the inventory of Earth-based Yellowjacket commander Fuala Griffon, who often plays field commander and "backseat driver" in her Recarl with lackey Metchet Rubence at the controls. Fuala's Recarl is destroyed in battle at Arti Gibraltar, taking the life of pilot Metchet.
