Technical and Historical Notes

When the Earth Federation Forces begin ordering and producing smaller, more efficient mobile suits, many new designs are adopted in the early UC 0100s. One of the most successful designs is the RGM-109 Heavygun, and over the course of the next few decades, its design is gradually tweaked and upgraded. As a result, many surplus Heavyguns end up in the hands of various local defense forces, including the Macedonia Army, which employs the RGM-109M-5. Despite the upgrades, the Heavygun's design is nearly half a century old when the Zanscare Empire begins their militaristic expansion in UC 0153. The Macedonia Army fields their Heavygun M-5s in resistance, but the mobile suits - and the effort - inevitably prove futile.
