Technical and Historical Notes

In CC 2345, Gym Ghingnham's forces excavate a mountain cycle on the Moon and discover several mobile suits, including the G-M2F (AMX-102) Zssan. The Zssan specializes in long range bombardments with its many missile launchers. It can also be fitted with an optional shoulder missile pod for even more missiles, which can be dropped once depleted for added speed. Though the Zssan lacks any short range weapons, the missile launchers in the legs can fire wire-guided cutters as a devastating short range weapon. Zssans work in groups of three because only one of the three units has a pilot, while the other two are remote controlled. Six units that Gym leaves on the Moon are only used in combat once against Dianna Soreil's forces trying to rebuild their Almaiya ship to return to Earth. All of them are destroyed; five of them by Harry Ord personally in his MRC-F20 SUMO. Gym also takes several units down to Earth in his war to conquer the divided planet.
