Technical and Historical Notes
The Zeta Plus is the first transformable mobile suit used by the Karaba resistance group, and its pilots have no previous experience with these complex machines. As simulator training alone is inadequate for complicated high-G maneuvers such as midair transformation, Karaba converts a handful of MSZ-006A1 (MSK-006) Zeta Plus A1 units into two-seater trainer machines to help pilots adapt to the new mobile suit. In addition to its expanded cockpit, this B type also has a new head for its mobile suit form.
The B type is later used by the regular Federation Forces as well as Karaba. The Gundam pilots of Taskforce Alpha are trained on these machines at the Nellis air base in Nevada while they await the delivery of their new mobile suits.
