Technical and Historical Notes
Throughout the war, many ZAFT pilots customize their mobile suits' appearance and performance. A custom orange ZGMF-1017 GINN is used by Miguel Aiman, an ace pilot with the alias "Magic Bullet of Dusk." Aside from the orange paint job, Miguel's unit is tuned for higher speed than the average GINN. In January C.E. 71, the Nazca class Vesalius under the command of Rau Le Creuset is sent out to investigate the mysterious destruction of ZAFT supply bases. While on patrol, Miguel discovers the culprit behind the attacks: Serpent Tail mercenary Gai Murakumo. Miguel's GINN is damaged in combat with Gai's own custom GINN, forcing him to switch over to a standard GINN for the attack on Heliopolis on January 25th. During the attack on Heliopolis, Miguel is killed while fighting with Kira Yamato's GAT-X105 Strike Gundam.
