When Zeonic Company began mass-producing the latest MS-06F Zaku II model mobile suit in the early months of UC 0079, many high-ranking Zeon officers had customized Zakus built for their personal use. One of these custom units belonged to Vice Admiral Dozle Zabi, commander of Zeon's Space Attack Force. In addition to featuring spiked armor on both shoulders and ornate markings and engravings, Dozle's Zaku had an enlarged cockpit to hold his huge form, as well as a custom, oversized heat hawk. Dozle would use his Zaku while both conducting frontline inspections and waging battle against the Federation Forces.
