Technical
and Historical Notes
The MS-17 Galbaldy a
was a part of Zeon's
Pezun Project at the Pezun asteroid base at the end of the One
Year War. It was originally built as a successor to the YMS-15
Gyan but was later fitted with equipment from the MS-14A
Gelgoog. This suit was to be Zeon's ultimate suit, but it
was just another case of too little, too late. The Galbaldy's
armament consisted of one beam rifle and a beam saber. It
was also given a smaller version of the Gelgoog's
shield. Due to its late entry into the war it presumably
never saw combat. However, some units may have seen combat during
the Federation's retake of the Pezun asteroid.
At the end of the One Year War the Federation captured the plans
of this fearful suit and later refined and upgraded it into their
own RMS-117 Galbaldy β,
which saw combat before and during the Gryps Conflict.
