Technical and Historical Notes

The RGM-79SP GM Sniper II (Titans Spec) is a unit based on the concept of the One Year War's RGM-79SC GM Sniper Custom. The suit’s long-range shooting abilities have been upgraded through the use of a laser sensor and a new optical camera system for ultra long-range sniping. The suit’s precision and firing range are further improved through the use of the L-9 beam rifle, which features a long barrel. The suit’s effectiveness leads it to be used for sniping missions long after the end of the One Year War. In September UC 0084, a GM Sniper II is part of a team deployed by the Al Giza near L2 to investigate Zeon remnant activity. The Titans team then engages the Zeon remnant force, which includes an MS-09SS Dowas Custom and two MS-17 Galbaldy αs.
