After the test flights and collection of combat and flight data from the Apsalus and Apsalus II are complete, Ginias Sahalin sets out to complete his dream project and bring it to fruition. The final, completed version, the Apsalus III, is completed at Ginias' Southeast Asian mobile suit factory in December UC 0079. Primarily addressing the problem of insufficient generator output to drive its Minovsky craft system, the Apsalus III is equipped with three power generators pulled from MS-09RII Rick Dom II units. It also mounts two Minovsky craft systems instead of one, making the Apsalus III much more stable during atmospheric flight. These Minovsky craft modules are mounted on giant, spindly legs which anchor the mobile armor to the ground while firing its main cannon. However, the Apsalus III never gets used against its intended Jaburo target, as word of it reaches Federation intelligence and their Kojima Battalion destroys it before it ever gets out of Southeast Asia.
