Kamina Hospitalized after Piercing Head Trauma

May, 2007.

Earth, Somewhere – Kamina of Jiiha Village, the pilot of the Ganmen Gurren was seriously injured today when a Gattai gone wrong resulted in Lagann’s drill tip piercing the top of his skull by a full four inches. The fight was temporarily suspended while Kamina was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead, then alive, then dead again. Eventually Kamina started walking the halls, his head still bleeding profusely and he was once again upgraded to 'alive.'

Upon further examination, doctors found no serious impediment to Kamina’s motor functions or brain capacity, and concluded he must not have been using that part of his brain much anyway to let Lagann drill right on top of his head repeatedly for months.

Kamina, who was after only six hours already preparing to return to combat, had only this to say : “GATTAI!!! A TRUE UNION ISN’T GOING TO BE STOPPED BY A DRILL HOLE! SIMON! HEY! SIMON! WE GOTTA FINISH OUR FIGHT!”

Simon of Jiiha Village, the pilot of Lagann was being detained by local authorities, pending a further attempted manslaughter investigation.
