Kaiju use New Strategy,
Decimate Super Heroes
May 2007
Tokyo, Japan
In a surprise move that has quickly and unexpectedly decimated the SH&M (Super Hero and Mecha) community, the Kaiju Nippon Local 545 has unilaterally made the decision to ignore standard dueling protocol and no longer allow the requisite 10-second rule to allow for Gattai, Henshin and or other power-up maneuvers that typically give human and alien pilots a significant advantage in combat.
Barragon, current Foreman chair of the 545 appeared on the now Kaiju-controlled NHK television network to explain the reasoning for this sudden change in tactics.
“Recently there has been a growing feeling of inferiority among Kaiju in this highly technical world. While humans seem to continue to advance in terms of destructive power and ability at a rapid rate, we Kaiju can only spontaneous regenerate and/or resurrect at a rate of once per episode/movie we are featured in, which we feel unbalanced the playing field.”
In a recent press release, the 545 mentioned the lack of affirmative action as a serious problem for the Kaiju community. While many Kaiju of various races, species and locations of origin are well known in Japan, a lack of acceptance to higher levels of education for Kaiju has left the general populous with an IQ at most on par with that of a 3rd grade school bully. Many Kaiju have been denied fair treatment in melee and ranged combat situations, such as a lack of weaponry, unsatisfactory defenses and little or no monologue time.
Retired superhero Ultraman is currently heavily involved in negotiations between the 545 and the SH&M, trying to come to some level of compromise to ensure a satisfactory resolution for both groups. “It’s hard to find a solution to this particular problem. Traditionally, super robots and mecha are only retired or destroyed either after or just prior to the completion of a newer, more powerful version of the pilot's signature machine. Now, we’re seeing a 9,000% increase in mecha insurance rates, as well as trying to find a way to support better health care, education and fairness for Kaiju in the Tokyo area.”
