Summary

Gainer waits in an empty classroom on a Sunday, having been asked there by Sara. Gainer thinks about why she invited him and starts talking to himself about Sara. Sara comes in, but immediately leaves as a rainbow passes through her. Gainer thinks about how he needs to get a job. Adette walks down the hall with a pumpkin cake she made and a similar rainbow beam passes by her as well. Lioubov brings Mamado some tea and they talk about the tea stem in the tea. Rainbows continue to pass throughout the city, causing people to become upset. Kashmir, sitting atop one of the city units emits the rainbow beams from his Detheneta Overman, saying it brings out the worries in people's minds. He increases the level of the "worry waves." This causes Jaboli, Kejinan and Enge to get worried themselves and Kashmir tells them to put on helmets blocking the rays. The three head out after they do so. In his bathroom, Gainer worries about Sara and the Exodus. Hughes practices his ninja fighting skills and defeats an enemy whom he sees initially as Gainer, then Sara. He wakes up, revealing it to be a nightmare. Hughes is called to the command center of the Bachclone. Sara thinks about how Hughes killed Gainer's parents, but it was necessary for the Exodus. She realizes she never could have explained this to Gainer. Gain thinks this is the same type of psychological attack used before. In the hallway, Hughes apologizes to Sara for hiding things, saying he'd kill anyone who tries to get in the way of the Exodus. Adette argues with Bello over whether he called Hughes. The Bachclone is suddenly struck from attacks. Adette heads off and Gain follows her. Kejinan and Enge think Kashmir's tactics are working since nobody is coming out. They spot someone heading out on the Gotchko and think he's running away. Jaboli catches up with Kejinan and Enge, but when she hits their silhouette engines it causes their helmets to short out and they immediately get worried, running off. Adette and Gain see them leaving and think there must be some conspiracy behind this. Cona tells them that Hughes left on the Gotchko. Hughes feels his discomfort growing, thinking the enemy is near. Adette finds Gainer lying on the ground and kicks him, telling him to head out on King Gainer. When he hesitates she says she'll take King Gainer and runs off, despite him saying she'll do it. Princess Ana cries in fear as Sara heads out from the Bachclone dock. Hughes encounters Kashmir's Detheneta. After emitting some worry waves Hughes greatly worries over the ability of the Exodus to succeed.

Jaboli, Kejinan and Enge catch up with Kashmir, with Kejinan and Enge being very worried and wanting to leave. Kashmir says he'll use remote control and deactivate the waves, causing Hughes to carry a bomb Detheneta is carrying. The worry waves cease and the Exodus members revert back to normal. Gainer, Gain, Adette and Sara head out. They catch up with Hughes, who is being controlled by Kashmir into attacking Gain and the others. The Gotchko now has an insect like body behind it. Adette transforms her Dorbeck silhouette engine and tells Gainer to get permission from the five wise men to shoot at Hughes. Gain and Sara object to Adette's plans. After arguing with everyone, Adette decides to leave. Jaboli attacks Sara's industrial machine, and is helped out by Adette. Princess Ana, Bello, Mamado and Lioubov watch from the Bachclone. Kashmir continues to control Hughes. Adette fights against Kejinan and Enge, telling them to pass along to Kashmir that she has bigger balls than him. Kashmir tells Kejinan and Enge to retreat given the explosion Hughes will soon cause. Adette overhears it and tells Gain, who heads back to the city units to warn them. Gainer tells Hughes to stop. Hughes says he can't control his body and to shoot him. Gain tells Gainer to take Hughes then they can destroy the Gotchko. Gainer tells Hughes he can't shoot him, and Hughes reveals that he killed his parents. Gainer decides that he can shoot Hughes now. Adette reaches Enge and tells him to go back. Sara runs out of her industrial machine and runs in front of Hughes, saying he can stop this. Hughes says someone else is controlling him. Gainer senses someone is controlling him by remote control nearby and swings his chain gun in the air, revealing the Detheneta and destroying its remote. Despite this, Hughes continues to charge in his Gotchko. Gain realizes that he can't shoot Hughes. Sara and Gain tell him to pick him up. The King Gainer picks up Hughes and Gain shoots at the Gotchko, blowing it up. After the battle, Brunhilde's arm is recovered from the remains of the Gotchko. Hughes punches Hughes for stealing Gotchko and worrying everyone. He punches him again for Gainer's parents. Adette, Cona and even Bello approach Hughes and kiss him. Later, in the classroom, Sara asks Gainer if he would have killed Hughes had she not been there. Gainer says he can never forgive him, but wants him to carry his feelings inside of him. Gainer says Sara is being unfair and asked her what she wanted to tell him earlier. She says it was about Hughes, but it wasn't easy to tell him about it. Gainer starts crying and Sara tells him she's sorry.

Commentary

An average episode, similar in theme to the previous episode with the mind-warping enemy Overman. Although the episode isn't anywhere as funny as the previous one, aside from Kejinan and Enge also falling under the effect of the Detheneta. It was good to see them follow up on the revelation about Hughes from the previous episode and use this episode's battle to bring it to the forefront of the storyline. Since it has now been four episodes of the Exodus movement fighting Kashmir, hopefully things start moving a bit forward again soon. Also, for a show that is continuously displaying really good animation, things seem off at times during this episode.
